Data Deletion

Novafeed (Pvt) Ltd respects your right to control your personal data. You can ask us to delete any personal information we hold about you from the Huku263 chatbot on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, and our related services, at any time. This page explains what we can delete and how to make the request.

What data we can delete

Your message history with Huku263, on WhatsApp or on Facebook Messenger: every message you have sent us and every reply we sent you.
Your session summaries: the running notes the bot keeps to remember your farm setup across conversations.
Your profile information: anything you have told us about your name, location, flock size, breed, feed programme, or other farm-related details you shared while chatting.
Any images you have shared with us: for example, photos of unwell birds you sent for diagnosis.
The identifier for the channel you used: the +263 number Meta associates with your WhatsApp account, or the page-scoped ID (PSID) Meta gives us if you messaged our Facebook Page. (Note: Meta's own copy of your data is separate. See Also delete from Meta below.)
Your name as we received it from Facebook, if you messaged us on Messenger.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion in any of three ways. Pick whichever is easier for you.

Option 1: Message us on WhatsApp

Send a message to Huku263 on WhatsApp at +263 732 877 877 saying "delete my data" (or "bvisa data yangu" in Shona). We will confirm your request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Option 2: Message us on Facebook Messenger

If you have been chatting with us on Facebook, send a message to the Novafeed Page saying "delete my data" (or "bvisa data yangu" in Shona). We will confirm your request and complete the deletion within 30 days. You do not need to tell us any ID number: your message itself identifies which records are yours.

Option 3: Email us

Send an email to glen@novafeed.co.zw with the subject line Data Deletion Request and include:

Your full name (if we have it on file).
The WhatsApp phone number associated with your Huku263 conversations, or, if you messaged us on Facebook, the name on the Facebook account you used.
Any additional context that would help us find your records.

What happens after your request

We acknowledge your request within 48 hours.
We verify your identity, usually by confirming the request came from the same WhatsApp number or the same Facebook conversation whose data you are asking us to delete, or by asking a simple confirming question.
Your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
We send you a confirmation once deletion is complete.

Exceptions

In a few cases we may be required to keep some data for a limited time, for example to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or complete a transaction you started. If any of your data cannot be deleted, we tell you what and why in our confirmation reply.

Also delete from Meta (WhatsApp and Facebook)

Deleting your data with us removes it from Novafeed's systems. Meta, the company that runs WhatsApp and Facebook, also keeps its own copy of your messages under its own privacy policy. That copy is Meta's, not ours, and we cannot delete it for you.
